Maya House Makeover

Description

A few weeks ago I started applying for jobs, and right off the bat I noticed that my portfolio lacks any decent 3d images, hence with the help of a friend I began trying to make something, and given how bad my character models went, the choice was to instead make a 3d house like before, only make it better with all the knowledge that I've obtained since.

I've actually found a job [Going to Germany tomorrow to sign the contract (SQUEEE!!!)] in the meantime, but knowing that I need to do this either way, I pressed on. Two Weeks went by and there was still more stuff to add, correct, change... I was really going crazy, because I've been out of college for like 2 months and yet so far, I didn't really do a thing for my comic nor my videos, but thankfully, right now when the 3 week mark is hit, I'm done! It's here!

Just try and compare it to the original Maya House:

Quite an improvement, I'd say! ... and no, I still find it really ugly, but that's natural. I'm just really happy that I've finally done it!

I'd also like to thank one of my best friends in the entire world for lending me a hand in all of this, and if you've been following for a while, I hope you don't need a bigger clue than a raccoon to figure out his identity. Thanks man, thank you for being so great and supportive!

.... what? You guys don't know?! It's LittleNorwegians!

This is actually rather charming... I think the camera angle has something to do with that. It's kind of isometric, but not really? Either way it's not the main attraction.

I think the houses have some real cartoony personality to them. The raccoons are also very cute, though the one in the lower right corner next to the side walk seems to be floating off the ground a bit. I would suggest adding some more definition to the leaves/bushes, but I think this is some very solid work. Well done. :)
